I have started a new small farm – Many Forks Farm – on leased land in Clarksburg, MA. This spring and summer has been quite the flurry as my lease was only confirmed in March! This is something I’ve thought about for many years (about 25 of them while life took many forks) and decided it was now or never.
This season I am selling produce at the North Adams Farmers Market, have a weekly produce stand at two North Berkshire housing complexes, am selling salad greens at Cricket Creek Farm, and delivering a range of vegetables to Gramercy Bistro.
Come by the Many Forks Farm tent at the North Adams Farmers Market on Saturdays from 8AM – 12 Noon to check out what vegetables are on offer. It will vary each week as the season progresses and with the ebb and flow of the weather. The market is located in the city parking lot across from MASS MoCA and St. Elizabeth’s Parish. There is a lot of range in the local food vendors at the market this year – you’ll find fresh and local fruit, vegetables, meats, cheeses, breads, fresh flowers, and more. There will be music and workshops on some Saturdays as well. And, come to the market early! Many Forks Farm (and all the other farmers, too) have been sellling out of many items by around 10AM. At the July 14th market, this is what Many Forks Farm had available: Snap peas, snow peas, eggplant, summer squash, scallions, lettuce, baby leeks, beets, tomatoes, peppers, basil, cilantro, parsley, kale, swiss chard, baby bok choi, fresh garlic, and cabbages.
You are welcome to visit the farm. Please call to arrange a time: 413-281-1814 or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
