Seasonal position, 20 – 30 hours weekly. The number of hours will vary depending on weather conditions and crop needs. Mid-April/Beginning of May thru October. Will consider summer only months. Participation in all aspects of sustainable vegetable production and no-till/low-till & regenerative agriculture practices including seeding, transplanting, cultivating & weeding, harvesting & washing produce for distribution, amending vegetable beds, composting, and more.
REQUIREMENTS: Some farming or other horticultural experience preferred with consideration for other experience in outdoor work or interests considered. Flexibility in scheduling weekly hours. Good-humor in the face of the many factors that affect farming – some in our control and many that are not. Ability to work to a high standard of consistency, efficiency, attention to detail, and willingness to meet challenges of time-sensitive tasks and deadlines and work in all kinds of weather conditions. Ability to lift 50 pounds, a valid driver’s license, and because the farm is not accessible via any public transportation, access to a vehicle recommended.
COMPENSATION: $15.00 per hour.
